We offer low cost package deals to many destinations
The second largest city in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro is found on the South Atlantic coast and is famous for its breath-taking landscape, the annual carnival and its laid back beach culture. A unique feature of the city is that the harbour is comprised of an entryway that makes it look like the mouth of a river and in addition to the three peaks that stand dramatically around it; the area is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The city is split into four districts of which Zona Sul holds the lion’s share of tourist attractions such as the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado Peak, while the Centro District is the city’s financial and business centre with a wide array of historic buildings. You’ll see stunning architecture on buildings such as The Municipal Theatre, the National Library, the National Museum of Fine Arts, Tiradentes Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral and Pedro Ernesto Palace. In the Zona Norte district you’ll find the Maracanã stadium, Quinta da Boa Vista Park, The City’s Zoo and the National Observatory and the final district, Zona Oeste is popular for its beaches and the radically growing area is where the majority of the 2016 Olympics will be held. The beaches of Rio de Janeiro are considered some of the best in the world, with vast, clean stretches of soft sand and the main beaches have lots of services for visitors from free showers and lifesavers to soft drink and alcoholic bars and restaurants.
